Bon Appétit!

It’s time to debunk the myth that by being vegetarian you miss out on local cuisine around the world. In my 2011 travels, I have had pizza and pasta and gelato (lots of it) in Italy, wine in France, chocolate in Switzerland, pad thai in Thailand, sushi in Japan, pho in Vietnam, Khmer curry in Cambodia, gallo pinto in Nicaragua and of course, pancakes with real maple syrup in home sweet home, Canada.

For the sake of carnivore arguments, I guess it’s fair enough to admit that I did miss out on some things. For example, I couldn’t try ceviche in Nicaragua or escargot in France, but I am very content with all the amazing meals I got to eat and all the delicious foods I tried this year.

I’ll have to admit, I got rather hungry putting together that collage and writing this post so now it’s time for some post-birthday cupcakes. Bon appetit friends!
