Stockholm

Stockholm StockholmI went to visit my lovely friend Samanta in Stockholm this June. We met three years ago when she was visiting Toronto, and I’ve  been promising her a visit since. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that I didn’t make it to Stockholm until this summer. It’s especially noteworthy how long it’s taken me to get to the Swedish capital considering I used to live in Denmark.

Anyways, better late than never. And really, I was just waiting for the most glorious day of the Swedish summer to drop by. It was a (mostly) cloudless sunny day, along with it being the wedding day of Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip.

Stockholm Stockholm Stockholm StockholmWe walked around the harbour, the old town, climbed up high to a restaurant for a stellar view of the city, and of course had meatballs. The Royal wedding meant that the city centre was packed with fans. So after a big stroll around the city, we hopped on a boat to go to Fjäderholmarna, one of the islands in the Stockholm archipelago.
